Dear Tanea,

Now I have sent the two letters to I told you about and all that is in the Lord’s hands and we shall forget about it and know he is in control. But I want to talk to you about some other things. I had a very special time with the Lord yesterday in the morning from the Retreat I was a group leader of 6 women. I told them if they would like to try to get up early each morning to have quiet time with the Lord, I would pray for them for 21 days. And Dick would too. Well, 3 of them chose to do this and we have been praying for them and they have been writing back and the Lord has been blessing them.

I don’t know if I told you, but last Tuesday I woke up at 5am and was wide awake and felt so good. My brain was alive and I had energy all day to get ready for Soup and Surprise. The day before I had my list but the Lord brought people my way to talk to and pray for and I didn’t do anything on my list. But when I just said OK Lord, this is your plan and I will roll with it…..it was a blessed day. I thought for one thing, the Lord gave me that day of energy because I followed his plan on Monday.

I did have energy on Wednesday for Soup and Surprise and prayed that yesterday I would again wake early and have a great day. Well, I didn’t and it was after 6am and I awoke tired. I was also a day of prayer and fasting for us as it was National Day of Prayer for our nation and our pastor challenged us to fast and pray and then all meet at the church at 7pm for a special prayer service. I haven’t been able to fast because of my hypoglycemia, but I tried yesterday with no food, but water, and juice and coffee and did fine. But back to my morning… I felt that I could either have a droopy day or “choose” to have a good one. I could “choose” to exercise and I could “choose” to think about the positive side of things. Years and years ago there was a song that said “You have to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative” and that is what I “chose” to do. So as I sat with my yellow pad while praying and prayed that I could have a miracle from my devotion book to share with my ladies. I wrote on the pad “I Can Choose” and prayed something to do with that would be in the book and I could tell the ladies how so often the Lord has met my heart and need through these books, and of course the Bible. But god Calling, God at Eventide, and My Utmost for His Highest are full of notes on the side of what happened on certain days.

Well, first I opened God Calling for May 5th and what was the title of the message…..LET ME CHOOSE. I was so excited and it blew me away. Yes, here I had been saying “I” can choose in all those things, and wanted a word from the Lord. So I was able to tell all that to my 3 ladies. So I did let him choose, but he also chose to have me exercise…. darn it! Smile.

Then on Saturday morning, just before going to the Agros Training Day leaving at 8am, the Lord brought alive scripture to me that has been a blessing. I dont know if I shared that with you either. But in My Utmost for His Highest for that day, a reference to Romans 5:5 was given and as I looked that up my eyes were taken to the other side of the page where some verses had been marked and circled. What was such a blessing to me was Romans 4:19-21 and what popped out was some words circled were in verses 20-21 “No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith AS he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was ABLE to do what he promised”. I loved that his faith grew strong AS he gave glory to God. He didn’t wait until the miracle happened of the promised baby, but he gave God the glory along the way, and his faith grew. We must give God the glory along the way, not just wait until the miracle happens.

And so with him being fully convinced that God was ABLE. I love that. I learned that years ago regarding healing. I would pray, believing with all my heart that a certain person would be healed and then sometimes they wouldn’t be and passed away. I thought “How can I throw myself into believing and having faith when I know He sometimes does not heal?” Then I realized that I could throw my faith and my belief totally on the fact that yes, God is ABLE. Sometimes He chooses not to heal but is able and I will claim that and believe that.

So with this trip and with your daughter, I know God is ABLE to heal her and I trust and pray for that. What he decides to do is up to him, but I throw myself on the thought that he is ABLE and he loves her more than anything and he is going to care for her.

Well, I think I have rambled on enough. Oh, I need to have you right in this room because I have so much to tell you always and it can be hard to put on paper.

Guidance for Praying

John 15:7 “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.”

James 1:6-8 ” But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that a double minded man, unstable in all his ways, will receive anything from the Lord.”

I John 3:21-22 “Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments.”

Matthew 21:22 “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.”

Psalms 91:14-15 “Because he cleaves to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will rescue him and honor him.”

Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.”

Proverbs 28:9 “If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.”

Psalms 66:18 “If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.”

Psalms 34:17 “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them our of all their troubles.”

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by these verses…… and then I claim Romans 8:26-27 “Likewise the Spirit help us in our weakness for we do not know ho to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with signs too deep for words, and he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

Message version: “If we don’t know who or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.”

Glad Surprise

“Can a life be dull or dreary when always there is that watchful expectancy, always that anticipation of GLAD SURPRISE, always wonder of fulfillment, joy of supply?”

From God Calling March 7th Surprises

“I loved to prepare a feast for them by the lakeside- A LITTLE GLAD SURPRISE- not a necessity, as the feeding of the multitude may have seemed. I love to give the wine-gift at the marriage feast.”

From God Calling October 28th Glad Surprises

“Bow as a child bows in anticipation of a “glad surprise” being prepared for him by the one who loves him. Bow in such a way, just waiting to hear the loving words to raise your head, and see the glory and joy and wonder of your surprise.”

From God at Eventide August 10th Glad Surprise

“Live so near to me that you may never miss the opportunity  of being used by Me….. So be very near to Me, and you cannot fail to be much used….. Remember that Love is the Great Interpreter, so that those who love you and are near to you are the ones you can help the most. Do not pass them by for others, though your influence and helpfulness will gradually spread, in an ever-widening circle. You will live in a spirit of GLAD SURPRISE.”

I use the devotional books God at Eventide and God Calling each day, along with Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest.

Dick and I were in Bergen, Norway on March 7th, 1992 and were reading these each day. As we read the one about the Glad Surprise in the God Calling for that day, we were in anticipation of what the Lord had in store for us that day and each day we were in Norway. It was amazing. We were there, sort of on our own for a change, and He planned a Glad Surprise for us each day. When we got home we began living in that anticipation and also using that term a lot. Now it is so fun to just see what Glad Surprise the Lord has in store for us each day. Sort of an extension of Romans 8:28 that all things do work together for good and God can make glad surprises out of days that might not seem like anything special at the beginning.

Thus came the name for my email address.

 

Helpful Lessons Learned From Philippians 4:4-10

Over twenty years ago these thoughts were given to me by Claudia Rowe, a Young life leader, and they have been very helpful to me over the years. They come from the following passages:

Philippians 4:4-10 RVS “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.  Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you.”

Philippians 4:4-10 J.B. Phillips Translation “Delight yourselves in the Lord, yes, find your joy in him at all times. Have a reputation for gentleness, and never forget the nearness of your Lord. Don’t worry over anything whatsoever; tell God every detail of your needs in earnest and thankful prayer, and the peace of God, which transcends human understanding, will keep constant guard over your hearts and minds as they rest in Christ Jesus. Here is a last piece of advice. If you believe in goodness and if you value the approval of God, fix your minds on whatever is true and honorable and just and pure and lovely and praiseworthy. Model your conduct on what you heave learned from me, on what I have told you and shown you, and you will find that the God of peace will be with you.”

We are told to give our requests and anxieties to the Lord, with prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving. And then the promise that the Peace of God will keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

See the picture of our heart and mind emptied of our anxieties. Then in verse 8-10 we are told what to fill that void with. If we leave it empty it is too easy for the anxious thoughts to return. We are to think about all that is true, and just and pure and lovely. When the anxious thoughts start to return quickly think of what is “true” in that situation. There is always a true fact to state that is positive and will give us something to think about in that situation.

I always think of the lady who always had something positive to say about everyone. Someone said to her, “I think you could find something positive to say about the devil”. She thought a minute and then said, “Well, he is persistent”.

So with us we can usually think of some true positive thing to think about in any anxious situation. When we do this God will put a “guard” around our hearts and minds to help the thoughts and anxieties from returning. But we must do our part.

A Promise to Restore and Renew

Ephesians 3:20-21 “May you be filled through all your being with God himself. Now to him who by His power within us is able to do infinitely more than we ever dare to ask or imagine– to Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever, amen!

Colossians 1:11 “May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.”

I Peter 5:10 “After you have SUFFERED a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal flory in Christ, will himself, restore, establish, and strengthen you.”

Dictionary definition of restore: “To give back. Return. Put back into original state. To repair.”

Psalms 52:12 “Restore to me the joy of thy salvation.”

Psalms 80:3 “Restore us, O God; let thy face shine, that we may be saved.”

Lamentations 5:21 “Restore us to thyself, O Lord, that we may be restored.”

Zeph. 3:17-18 “The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will RENEW you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival. I will remove disaster from you, so that you will not bear reproach for it.”

Jeremiah 31:25 “FOR I WILL SATISFY THE WEARY SOUL, AND EVERY LANGUISHING SOUL I WILL REPLENISH.”

From the Dictionary:

Weary: Strengthen impaired by toil or suffering. Having ones patience or tolerance exhausted. As weary of reading.” (Could it also be weary of children, weary of clutter, weary of requests by others)

Satisfy: “To fill up the measure of want. To gratify fully the desire to make content.”

Languish: “To lose strength or vitality because of outward circumstances.”

Replenish: “To supply fully. To fill again especially after having been emptied.”

Psalms 23:1-3 “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me besides still waters; HE RESTORES MY SOUL, He lead me in paths of righteousness, for His names sake.”

One of the best reasons for a quiet time with the Lord in the morning….. To be replenished, filled, restored, renewed, with all that was depleted the previous day. Start the day with a full tank of gas. Don’t limp along with an empty tank.

 

Three small reflections

Psalms 34:5a “Look at Him and be radiant”.

“Mom, you sound so much better, you must have been sitting under your light”, said daughter Cindy as we chatted on the phone in mid January.

This came a day or so after a letter from daughter Becky, who lives in London. She said, “You sounded so much better in your last letter, you must have been sitting under your light. We were worried when in the letter before you said how boring everything was and the most exciting thing that had happened that week was getting a new toilet.”

Because of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) I sit by an “Argo” light in the mornings from January through April. I have seen amazing results because of the light therapy. However, after Cindy’s call and Becky’s letter, I began to think, “It is apparently very noticeable at least to my family when I have been faithful with my Argo light.” Psalms 34:5 came to mind and I wondered if it was as obvious to others when I have been in the presence of the “light of the world”.

Prayer: Oh Lord, today may your light shine through me to those whom I meet. May it be very obvious that I have been in your presence. May I radiate with your love today. Amen.

Romans 8:24-25 “Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

Our long driveway from our house to the road was an absolute disaster and looked like a war zone. After the recent ice storm of December 26th our beautiful “Drømmegaard” (Our Dream Farm) looked more like a nightmare than a dream.

I surveyed downed trees and fallen limbs and wondered if there was any hope under all that rubble for the previous peaceful sanctuary that this farm had become. Was all of Dick’s hard work in vain? Was there any hope for the future of this place?

Then one morning in late January I noticed the wild snow drops had begun to appear along the side of the driveway. Green leaves pushing out of the ground with little bell shaped white flowers hanging from them. To me it was God’s miracle of promised spring. The life of that little flower was there all the time under the ugly rubble and ready to burst forth in God’s perfect timing.

Prayer: Oh Lord, when things seem to be falling apart around me in my life, help me to know that your life and love and hope are alive and powerful, under it all and the evidence of it will spring forth in your perfect timing.

II Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

It was a cold and dreary day in February, 1975. As I sat at my Quiet Time with the Lord that morning I was thinking about my life at the moment. My husband, a self employed builder, was in between jobs. We had a houseful of five children in age from 12 to 20. As I prayed, I asked the Lord to give me peace regarding our financial situation. That a new job would be forthcoming and that our needs would be met.

Later that day I looked out into our backyard and saw that the bird feeder was empty and the little birds were fluttering around the feeder. I was thinking, “You silly birds, you think there is no more food and you are looking very anxious. But I know I have a big bag of birdseed in the store room and you just cant see it”. Suddenly a light when on in my head. Oh Lord, Is that what you are trying to tell me? That I am fluttering around like those little birds, worrying about our next job, while all the time YOU know where the job is, and where the food is. It is only I who cannot see it!

Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to trust you for your provision. You are so faithful and you promise that you will not let the righteous go hungry (Proverbs 10:3). Help me to walk into this day full of hope and joy in you, knowing that you care for us and will provide for our needs. Amen.

Fear Not

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do, and the God of Peace will be with you.”

Psalms 34:4 “I sought the Lord and he delivered me from all my fears.”

Proverbs 1:33 “But he who listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease without dread of evil.”

Isaiah 12:2 “Behold God is my salvation. I will trust and will not be afraid for the Lord is my strength and my song.”

II Timothy 1:7 “God hath not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and sound mind.”

I John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.”

Isaiah 26:3 “My people will abide in a peaceful habitations, in secure dwelling and in quiet resting places.”

I Timothy 2:1,2 “First of all then I urge supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and for all who are in high position that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way.”

Psalms 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Psalms 34:17 “When the righteous cry for help the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”

An audio tape of a sermon entitled “But God” by Jon Coursen was recently given to me. His theme throughout the tape was “I don’t know the answers to your problem, but I do know who does- God.” It may sound simplistic, but as I have listened over and over to this tape, I am convinced he is right.

Let me share with you some of his thoughts about how God intervened in the problems of people recorded in the Bible:

  • Abraham (the patriarch) tried to pass off his wife, Sarah, as his sister- “But God” intervened and saved her. (Genesis 20:3)
  • Jacob struggled with the negative and changing attitude of his father-in-law- “However God” intervened and did not allow him to harm Jacob. (Genesis 31:7)
  • Jacob on his death bed assured Joseph that he (Jacob) would die- “But God” would be with him. (Genesis 48:21)
  • Joseph realized that his brothers had intended harm for him- “But God” had intended it for good. (Genesis 50:19-20)
  • Samson, after a difficult battle was feeling tired and discoursed, in need of refreshment. He felt as though he would die of thirst- “Then God” brought forth water to refresh him. (Judges 15:15-20)
  • David was being hunted like a criminal by King Saul- “but God” intervened to protect him. (I Samuel 23:13-14)

Time after time in scripture, we see evidence of difficult circumstances, problems and dilemmas. Yet with each of these, we see men and women of faith who said “but God” was there. Maybe you, like me, are in one of those situations in life where you cannot figure out what good can come of it. I don’t know what the answer to your problem is, but I know who has the answer! In the midst of trails and difficulties, there is hope. The advice that people give may have some merit, but listening to God, waiting for the unfolding of His plan, is always of value. In your rush to fix problems, don’t do what I often do…..forget to listen to God.

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

The Blessing

Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

When my children were young someone told me about laying my hands on their heads when they left in the morning and giving them the Numbers 6:24-26 blessing. They said they did this and it was a blessing to their children and to them. So I decided to try it. I know Pollyann was about four, so the others were probably somewhere between four and thirteen. I cant remember how many years this went on but I remember they were in Jr. High and High School and I was still doing it. I would lay my hands on their heads when they left for school and give them the blessings from Numbers. I remember Pollyann was about four or at least before kindergarten, because I can still remember the day so clearly when she and several friends went out the front door to play. And she opened the door again and popped her head in and said, “Mama you forget to give me your blessing”. So I laid my hands on her head and gave her the blessing to the wide eyes wonderment of the friends standing with her. She didn’t want the older children to get something she didn’t have.

I can also remember as they got to Jr. High days thinking maybe they were getting too old and didn’t want me to do this any more… only to have them remind me that I had forgotten. I really think it did help give them a sense of peace going out and that the Lord would be with them. I encourage you to try it. Be doers of the word. It is scary to send our children out into the world and to a day at school (or work) not knowing what they may face. Not only does it give them something, it gives us an extra assurance that yes the Lord will be with them.

Behold His Glory

Is it possible for us to “Behold His Glory”?

God says, “Yes” and He has a plan and a path for us to follow. The desire of my heart for today, is for you to ponder this thought. To allow the Lord to speak to you regarding how you can do this and also if you are doing something which blocks this from happening. I know it’s hard to put on the brakes, and quiet our hearts and mind. But I pray you will be willing to make time today. I hope you will try not to talk during your quiet time and really focus your thoughts on the Lord. Looking up scripture in your own Bible, and asking the Lord to reveal to you personally the truth of these verses.

II Corinthians 3:18 tells us that it is possible for all of us to “Behold His Glory”.

“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”

Really think about this wonderful verse and what each part of it says to you.

John 16:13a “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.”

In Isaiah 58:8 we find a wonderful promise and then directions as to how to claim that promise.

“Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily, your righteousness shall go before you, the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.”

The wonderful promise in the first part of this verse is that our light shall break forth. ( I like to think of it as breaking thru to glory). Then the second part shows us how we are able to do this and with whose help. Our righteousness will go before us. Who is your righteousness?

Jeremiah 26:6b “The Lord is our righteousness.”

So He is going before leading and directing us into this wonderful promise. The song just came to me, “I’ve got a home in Glory Land that outshines the sun”. I know we have a place reserved in Heaven which is the ultimate Glory Land, but many verses seem to show that we can experience His glory on earth also. Not only are we striving to reach Glory- but the glory of the Lord is our rear guard, and prodding us along and protecting us along the way also. We are on a path heading towards glory.

Proverbs 4:18 “But the path of the righteousness is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full day.”

(Oh Lord, may the path you are putting us on today shine brighter and brighter and reveal wondrous things to us along the way.)

Consider this wonderful promise in Isaiah 40:5 “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Here are some thoughts about Moses seeing “The Glory” and then some thoughts from the Living Study Bible regarding those verses.

Exodus 24:16-18 “The glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel. And Moses entered the cloud, and went up on the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”

From the Life Application Bible page 1772: “The glory that the Spirit imparts to the believer is greater both in quality and longevity than that which Moses experienced. The glory gradually transforms the believer into Chistlikeness. Becoming Christlike is a progressive experience. The more closely we relate to him, the more we will be like him.”

(Lord, show me today the “hidden” things that are in the verses I am looking at)

Matthew 11:25 “At that time Jesus declared, “I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes.”

Some verses to ponder on your way to breaking through to Glory:

  • I Pater 4:13
  • Isaiah 28:5a
  • II Thessalonians 2:14
  • Isaiah 60:1
  • Psalms 104:31
  • Daniel 2:20-23
    • “Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He change times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and mysterious things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To thee, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for thou hast given me wisdom and strength, and hast now made known to me what we asked of thee.”

What is holding me back from breaking through to “His Glory” and becoming all he would have you be? If you are feeling that these verses and thoughts are great but you have had a hard time really experiencing what they are talking about, the Bible also has some help in that area.

Romans 3:23 “Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

That is the basis for asking God to be our Savior and forgive us all our wins and accept us as his child. Therefore one of the reasons we are not experiencing all that is possible would be that we have not totally surrendered our lives to Jesus. Before doing that, we all fall short of his glory.

There are other reasons why Christians also fall short of experiencing this glory. Let us ponder these two verses, one from the Old Testament and one from the New.

Psalm 106:20 “They exchanged the glory of God for the image of an ox that eats grass.”

Romans 1:22,23 “Claiming to be wise, they become fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles.”

Have you come close to receiving God’s glory but before you open the package you make an exchange. Those mentioned in the above verses exchanged the glory for images. What kind of image or mirage could you possibly be exchanging his glory for. Something that looks real but is not the real thing God would have us have. Ask God to reveal to you anything in your life that would be a block in receiving his glory.

Also, let us look at II Corinthians 3:18 “And we all with UNVEILED FACE, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”

(Lord, is there a veil of some kind over my face, keeping me from seeing your glory fully. Please reveal that to me and show me what I can do to be changed into your likeness, little by little, degree by degree.)

What needs changing first? My attitude? My busyness? My not putting God first in my life?

I would like to close with some comments from Oswald Chambers from April 22nd of My Utmost for His Highest:

“We must build our faith not on fading lights but on the Light that never fails. When important individuals go away we are sad, until we see that they are meant to go, so that only one thing is left for us to do– to look into the face of God for ourselves……A Christian servant is one who perpetually looks into the face of God and then goes forth to talk to others. The ministry of Christ is characterized by an abiding glory of which the servant is totally unaware. Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.”

Exodus 34:29 “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with two tables of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.”

Look to Him and be RADIANT!!!!!

These finals words in this post really resonated with me because Grandma Rosy has been the faithful Christian servant who has perpetually looked into the face of God, and as a result shines God’s light into each of our lives. Grandma Rosy’s skin is shining with God’s light because she continues to talk with God daily. She doesn’t need her voice or strength to exude God’s brilliant and radiant light! What an amazing example for us all!
